(and What They Are Saying)

Last week I watched a presentation by Tom on BobaGuard, new offering to protect small law firms and solos from a long list of current cyber security threats. So many lawyers don’t have the time to analyze and make decisions about the various threats and tools available to counter them. Tom’s company takes a different type of approach, basically bundling a wide array of tools, policies and behind-the-scenes support to cover “everything.” I put that in quotes because obviously you cannot cover everything, but he appears to have done an excellent job. The services are affordable and we are pursuing making BobaGuard an OBA member benefit. Given the high profile ransomware cases we have seen recently, I told Tom his timing was perfect.”

Jared Nay

Help Desk Agent II

Jared is on the front-line support (and an in depth, detailed knowledge of the company) who sooths clients whenever they need to call the help desk. Picking up a highly detailed knowledge of the company over 4 years means that Jared is able to provide clients with long lasting remedies to problems.

Before beginning at GlobalMac IT, Jared worked at a number of Apple Store Genius Bars over a period of 5 years, providing years of experience that perfectly aligned with what the GlobalMac IT needed. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in New Media Art, Jared has additional experience as a freelancer in graphics and animation, bringing a creative and attention-to-detail personality to the team.

Jared loves learning new skills, currently picking up some programming languages, and has a functional relationship with the best video games currently out. Most importantly, he and his wife have a golden retriever puppy, Brinkly that they love spending time with when not fixing others tech issues.

Jared’s favorite quote:

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”

– Barrack Obama.

Christine Rivett

Marketing & Sales Manager / Strategic Assistant

Christine is one of the newer additions to the team, joining in March 2020 and bringing with her a wealth of knowledge to the position as the strategic assistant for the CEO and supporting the marketing and sales department. Following our Core Values, Christine is always looking to provide any and all support to her coworkers and managers.

Christine previously spent 22 years working for Lawrence Diversfield Inc. as the office manager as well as the marketing and research functions for the company. Her career experience proves that she knows how to get people moving and working in the right direction.

Passing the best test of character, Christine, like many of her colleagues, is a dog lover. Her two German shepherds, along with her husband of 20 years, make a great family that she gets to enjoy when she isn’t working. Regularly getting out into nature with her dogs and husband, Christine enjoys gardening, birdwatching, kayaking, camping, travelling and a lot more. Christine is the epitome of “work hard play hard”.

Christine’s favorite quote:

“Never stop learning; for when we stop learning, we stop growing.”

– Loyal “Jack” Lewman

Tobias Morrison

Technology Alignment Manager

Tobias has been with the GlobalMac IT team since 2012. As the technology alignment manager, Tobias gives clients the best experiences by ensuring the GlobalMac IT standards library is maintained with the best solutions. He gets this done by evaluating hardware, software, and auditing client IT environments in order to give clients recommendations on how to improve things on their end. He is basically a magical genie who makes everything work better for clients.

Tobias’ family life is as energetic as the amount of energy he puts into work, and he is on the cusp of running a small backyard farm at his house. In total, his yard and house are home to 2 cats, 9 chickens, 2 ducks, and a rabbit. He is an avid birder, enjoying the sight of more than just his own chickens and ducks.
Tobias is also a father of 4 kids, who, of course, help with maintaining their small chicken population. When he isn’t working or with family, he is making noise as a talented vocalist, bassist, and percussionist.

Tobias’ favorite quote:

“The truth is not always beautiful, nor beautiful words the truth.”

– Lao Tzu

Jeremey Kenney

Operations Director

Jeremey joined GlobalMac IT in October 2019. He is the GlobalMac IT technology solutions coordinator, planning, implementing, and overseeing necessary technology solutions. Before Jeremey came onboard, he was a support engineer for Futuri Media, and before Futuri he spent 5 years working for Apple as an AppleCare Senior Advisor. This expertise made Jeremey a perfect fit for the team.

Aside from a love for videogames, Jeremey has a passion for technology in general, and loves his Thursday night golf games. He has to be the first in the group to have the newest products and often can’t help pulling computers apart to replace or upgrade hardware. He can also put them back together again, which helps.
Jeremey values spending time with friends and family, actively making the effort to connect with the important people in his life. When he is home he has two beautiful cats that won’t leave him alone, even if there’s work to do.

Jeremey’s favorite quote:

“Most impossible goals can be met simply by breaking them down into bite size chunks, writing them down, believing them and going full speed ahead as if they were routine.”

– Don Lancaster

Chris Henke

Integrator/COO

Chris is the one at the helm of the ship, steering the team around all obstacles and constantly looking for better courses to navigate while making improvements to the GlobalMac IT ship. He’s basically Russell Crowe in the Master and Commander movie.

Chris is responsible for the company’s profit and loss results, the execution of the GlobalMac IT business plan, and providing clear and concise guidance to the team so everyone works together like a well-oiled machine.

He also realizes that humans are not just oily machines, bringing a genuine and compassionate approach to leadership.

Before joining the team, Chris had worked for many different companies developing their marketing plans and managing their finances. Believe it or not but he used to tour the country in a band (as the bass player), and also had a landscaping business before getting his bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron.
Initially joining the team in 2012 for bookkeeping, marketing, and office management, Chris rose to the COO position and now helps the CEO to steer the ship.

When Chris isn’t busy improving the company’s profitability or acting as the glue that integrates all of the major business functions, he enjoys woodworking, cycling, and jamming on his cigar-box guitar. (He most likely built the guitar himself.)

Chris’s favorite quote:
“It’s not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what’s required.”
– Winston Churchill
